Flint Technologies participated in VMware training on March 15, 2011 for desktop computer and server virtualization. Flint Technologies takes every opportunity to learn and improve, so we can better help our customers and their businesses.
Our technician received a call early one morning from a customer, Precision Jet, and as it happens, they suffered a complete system meltdown, and were out of operation indefinitely. After stopping by their facility to evaluate the situation, he discovered that the required parts would not be locally available. He ended up buying the parts instead in Fort Lauderdale later that weekend, and ultimately had everything installed shortly after. He had Precision Jet up-and-running by Monday morning.
Flint Technologies was happy to donate it's time to Suncoast Mental Health. We ran sixteen drops of Cat-5 wiring and helped to paint their conference room. Our time has also been donated to the Love Doctors charity during the 2010 Holiday Season where we offered free home and business service to a raffle winner.
Flint Technologies is now a certified partner of Dell. What this means is that we will be receiving higher-level benefits by committing to Dell in one of their high practice areas.
Hardware virtualization is a system that uses one processor to act as if it were several different computers. This has two main purposes. One is to run different operating systems on the same hardware, while the other is to allow more than one user to use the processor at the same time.
Our technician Joseph Flint is working towards a higher-level partnership with VMware. With only two courses left to complete, Flint Technologies will be one of the only IT Companies outside of Ft. Lauderdale to offer VMware's services.
